Access to information (PAIA)

This is a pre-launch version. Zeus is not yet open to the public, and this document will be reviewed and updated before any service opens.

The Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) gives you the right to ask for records held by a private body when you need them to exercise or protect a right. This page explains how to ask Zeus. Zeus Fintech is a subsidiary of Kvra and runs on Kvra's infrastructure.

Records we hold

Depending on how you have used Zeus, the records we hold may include:

  • early access sign-ups and consent records;
  • customer profiles and verification results;
  • payment, contribution, payout and settlement records;
  • support cases and complaints;
  • agreements with providers and partners;
  • company and operational records.

How to make a request

Email support@zeus-fintech.co.za with “PAIA request” in the subject line. Tell us:

  • who you are and how to contact you;
  • which records you are asking for, in enough detail for us to find them;
  • the right you want to exercise or protect, and why the record is needed for it;
  • how you would like to receive the record.

What happens next

We will confirm who you are, and reply within the period PAIA allows. Access may be refused on the grounds PAIA provides, for example to protect another person’s privacy. If a fee applies under the PAIA regulations, we will tell you before doing the work.

If you only want your own personal information, you can ask under the privacy policy instead, which is usually simpler.

If you are not satisfied

You may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa, or apply to a court, if you disagree with our decision.

Full manual

The complete PAIA manual, with the details of the information officer and the company’s registered particulars, will be published here before Zeus opens to the public.
